Since the last workshop, we had a busy summer advancing the project and preparing for the next steps. During that time, the project team met with numerous representatives of the community and held walkthroughs with various CAC members to identify and confirm the issues that we have heard to date. Through this process as well as our own field work, we narrowed down our original 60 block faces (actually we had 77 total) down to 20 block faces for additional investigation and the development of possible improvements.

During the fall, we also held our second Community advisory Committee meeting at the CCBA. During this meeting, members of the community and elected officials on the CAC were formally introduced to the 20 selected block faces and were invited to play an innovative board game to identify problems and develop potential solution from our toolbox. Beginning in November and continuing throughout the winter, we will be meeting with the community at large to play this game and solicit input and ideas and solutions for the project area and specific blocks. Please check out this website for dates and times for these workshops. In addition, we will be providing a web-based tool to solicit input in the coming weeks.
