Join Brooklyn’s Community Board 2 and local residents and business owners at a roundtable planning workshop to help decide how bike share should work and where stations should go in Downtown Brooklyn, DUMBO, Boerum Hill, Fort Greene, Brooklyn Heights and Clinton Hill. In partnership with Community Board 2, NYC Council Members Letitia James and Stephen Levin, and NYS Senator Velmanette Montgomery. The Workshop will be held at St. Francis College, Callahan Center, 180 Remsen Street.
Sessions will begin at 6 pm and 7 pm.

Join Manhattan’s Community Board 3 and local residents and business owners at a roundtable planning workshop to help decide how bike share should work and where stations should go in the East Village, Lower East Side, Little Italy and east Chinatown. In partnership with Community Board 3, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, NYC Council Member Margaret Chin, NYC Council Member Rosie Mendez, and NYS Senator Tom Duane. The Workshop will be held in the Chinatown YMCA Cafeteria at 100 Hester Street in Manhattan.
Sessions will begin at 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm.

Join Brooklyn’s Community Board 8 and Community Board 9 and local residents and business owners at a roundtable planning workshop to help decide how bike share should work and where stations should go in Prospect Heights, Crown Heights North, and Prospect Lefferts Gardens. In partnership with Community Boards 8 and 9, and NYC Council Members Letitia James and Albert Vann. The Workshop will be held at CUNY Medgar Evers College, President’s Conference Center (Room B1008), 1650 Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11225.
Sessions will begin at 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm.

Join Manhattan Community Board 1, and local residents and business owners at a roundtable planning workshop to help decide how bike share should work and where stations should go in Lower Manhattan. In partnership with Community Board 1, Pace University, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, and NYC Council Member Margaret Chin. The Workshop will take place at the Pace Student Union (entrance at 3 Spruce Street between Park Row and Gold Street, Manhattan).
Sessions will begin at 6 pm and 7 pm.

Join Manhattan’s Community Board 5 and local residents and business owners at a roundtable planning workshop to help decide how bike share should work and where stations should go in Midtown Manhattan, from Columbus Circle to Union Square, the Garment District to Grand Central Terminal. In partnership with the Municipal Art Society, Community Board 5, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, and NYS Senator Thomas Duane. The Workshop will be held at the office of the Municipal Art Society, 111 West 57th Street, on the 16th floor.
Sessions will begin at 6 pm and 7 pm.

In partnership with Community Board 6, NYC Council Members Brad Lander and Stephen Levin, and NYS Senator Velmanette Montgomery. The Workshop will be held at Old First Reformed Church, 729 Carroll Street, (at 7th Avenue) Brooklyn, NY 11215. The entrance to the workshop will be on Carroll Street.

Visit DOT staff to check out the bike share bikes at the Grand Central Library, located at 135 East 46th Street (between Lexington & Third Aves.) Come see the bike share bikes in person, ask questions and pick up free bike giveaways. In cooperation with Grand Central Library.

Bike Share Exhibition: Center for Architecture
Join DOT and Alta Bicycle Share on opening night for the Center for Architecture’s new Bike Share Exhibition. CFA, located at 536 LaGuardia Place between West 3rd Street and Bleecker Street in Manhattan, is the headquarters for the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Entrance to the galleries is free, and the Exhibition will run from January 11 to February 4, 2012.

An operator for the system has been selected and DOT will outline the community engagement process. Come ride the bikes with the coolest students in Brooklyn! Bikes will be located at the main entrance to the College at 1650 Bedford Avenue, at the corner of Crown Street. In cooperation with Medgar Evers College and Councilmember Letitia James.
Bike Share Demonstration: St. Catherine’s Park
Check out the bikes at the Upper East Side’s lovely St. Catherine’s Park on 68th Street and First Avenue. Bikes will be located on the north side of the park on 68th Street. In cooperation with New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and Councilmember Jessica Lappin.

Party at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration’s annual Restoration Rocks music festival and then take a break to test ride the bikes and provide feedback to our staff. Bikes will be on the south sidewalk on Fulton Street between New York Avenue and Marcy Avenue. In cooperation with Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration.

Bike Share Demonstration: Atlantic Antic
The Atlantic Antic, a one-mile long street festival with local bands, local food and vendors galore is equipped with bike share for its 37th year. A bike share demo station will be set up at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Nevins Street.
Bike Share Demonstration: Grand Army Plaza
Test bike share out at Grand Army Plaza and test ride the bikes along Prospect Park West. Bikes will be located on the top of Prospect Park West, just around the corner from Grand Army Plaza. In cooperation with Park Slope Civic Council, Park Slope Neighbors, Prospect Heights Neighborhood Development Council, and Councilmember Letitia James.
Bike Share Demonstration: McCarren Park
Join us at McCarren Park between Williamsburg and Greenpoint in Brooklyn to test ride the bikes and ask our staff questions. Bikes will be located at the corner of Bedford Avenue and N. 12th Street. In cooperation with Neighbors Allied for Good Growth (NAG) and the Open Space Alliance.
Bike Share Demonstration: Union Square
Join us for a bike share demo in the north plaza of Union Square. Come out to test the bikes, check out the bike share equipment, ask questions and give feedback about the program. In cooperation with the Union Square Partnership.
Bike Share Demonstration: Brooklyn Flea
Test ride a bike, check out the bike share equipment, ask questions and give feedback about the program at the Brooklyn Flea‘s Fort Greene location. The bikes will be located on Lafayette Avenue right outside the Flea entrance, between Clermont and Vanderbilt Avenues. In cooperation with the Brooklyn Flea and Councilmember Letitia James.
Bike Share Demonstration: DeKalb Market
Bike, shop, and eat at Brooklyn newest market! Stop by the DeKalb Market - a collection of shops and restaurants located in jewel-box shipping containers on a construction site at Flatbush and Willoughby. The bikes will be set up in Courtyard D on the Willoughby end of the market. In cooperation with DeKalb Market, and the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership.
Bike Share Demonstration: Bowling Green
Come visit NYC DOT and Alta Bicycle Share at Bowling Green at the foot of Broadway at Battery Place in Manhattan. Test out the city’s newest transportation option on your lunch break! Try out the bikes and learn more about the upcoming bike share program. The bikes will be directly in front of the National Museum of the American Indian, on the south end of the park near the subway entrance. In cooperation with Councilmember Margaret Chin.

Bike Share Demonstration: Manhattan Bridge Archway, DUMBO
Come try out bike share at Manhattan Bridge Archway, one of Brooklyn’s newest iconic spaces, located at Water and Adams Streets. Ride the bikes around DUMBO, get answers to questions and give feedback. In cooperation with the DUMBO Business Improvement District.
