A public hearing date will be scheduled following that date at a larger venue.

Almost forty community members stopped by to view boards explaining the history of the project and give input on proposed designs for Fourth Avenue in Park Slope. The thoughtful comments and feedback DOT received—both last night and ongoing on the website—are crucial in the continued project design. We look forward to presenting a proposal for the corridor based on our community-driven planning in May with CB2 and CB6.

Taking measurements throughout the day, there were cars found traveling as fast as 68 miles per hour on the road with a 30 mph speed limit.

On TUESDAY February 12th, 2013 we will discuss the future of 4th Avenue between Pacific and 15th Streets at this public workshop.

Goals:

+ Identifying street safety concerns

+ Discussing street design solutions

+ Creating safer crossings

+ Improving safety for all road users

Location: St Thomas Aquinas Church, Parish Hall (downstairs)

249 9th Street (enter on 4th Avenue), Brooklyn

The format will be in small groups around tables in the Parish Hall, where we’ll discuss issues pedestrians, drivers, and others experience along 4th Avenue, and ideas to improve the avenue. Translators who speak Spanish will be available for people who aren’t comfortable speaking in English
